ELM CITY - George Oliver Winstead, 71, passed away on September 1, 2025. He was born on October 24, 1953, to the late Henry and Onnie Gray Winstead.
He is survived by his wife, Allyson Warren Winstead; his son, Nicholas Winstead and spouse Anthony; and his daughter, Amanda Winstead; four grandchildren; his sister, Marie Perry.
Visitation will be held Thursday, September 4, 2025, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 12:30 p.m., officiated by Rev. Bill Brantley.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Coopers Fire Department, 3628 Volunteer Road, Elm City, NC 27822, in honor of George's lifelong commitment to serving his community. |
