ROCKY MOUNT - Gail Wickham Thompson passed away July 18, 2025. She is pre-deceased by her father, Clarence W. Wickham and mother, Betty S. Wickham as well as husband, Gary Sawyer and daughter, Elizabeth Clare Sawyer.

Gail is survived by her husband, Robert (Bobby) F. Thompson, Jr. of Rocky Mount; son, Christopher Daniel Sawyer and wife Morgan Turner Sawyer of Raleigh; step-son, Fletcher Kilpatrick Thompson of Nashville and wife Stephanie Davison Thompson and their children; three grandchildren; and a niece.

A foating celebration of Gail's life will be held at the home on Sunday, July 27, 2025 from 2-5 p.m.

In lieu of flowers or gifts contributions may be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Foundation or a charity of your choice.
