ROCKY MOUNT - Shirley Mae Weaver Boyd, age 83, passed away on Thursday, May 22, 2025. Born in Vance County on May 6, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Joe Weaver, Jr. and Nellie Gray Robinson Weaver. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Roland Terry Boyd, Jr.; and her brother, Joe Weaver, III.
Shirley is survived by her daughter, Faith Renee Boyd; her son, Roland Terry Boyd, III (Patricia); four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; her brother, Layton Weaver; her sister-in-law, Jeannette Weaver; and many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held May 24, 2025 at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. |
