Ormond Beach, FL/Rocky Mount - Gordon Alan Joyner, age 73, passed away Tuesday, May 13, 2025. He was born in Nash County on September 18, 1951 to Earley Wade and Beulah Gay Joyner. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Douglas Clayton Joyner and Leon Wade Joyner.

He is survived by his son, Gordon Alan Joyner, Jr. and wife, Jessica of Rocky Mount; brothers and sisters, Robert Isaac Joyner of Asheville, Dallas Carlton Joyner of Wilson, Charles Preston Joyner and wife, Bonnie of Rocky Mount, Beverly Renee Gardner and husband, Phillip of Whitakers, and Gayle Annette Koonce of Greenville; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, other extended relatives.

A graveside service will take place at 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 22, 2025 at the Williams Family Cemetery on Floods Store Road, Rocky Mount. The family will greet friends immediately following the service.
