ROCKY MOUNT - Ann E. Battle, age 100, passed away on Saturday, March 8, 2025. Born in Rocky Mount on August 6, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Elmo Elsworth Battle, and Myrtie Lee Hinton Battle. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Nell B. Peel; brothers, Larry W. Battle, and Ed Battle, Jr..

Ann is survived by her brother, Robert L. Battle; sister Cornelia B. Winstead, and sixteen nieces and nephews.
