Thomas Barton Sykes, 89, passed away March 1, 2025. He was born December 20, 1935 to the late Thomas and Nita Sykes. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his wife Gertie Sykes; brother Johnny Sykes; sister Betsy Sykes.
Thomas is survived by his son Thomas M. Sykes; daughter Debbie Bowling (Craig); brother Ronald Sykes; sister Nancy Joyner; nieces, great nephews and a great-great niece.
A service will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at Corinth Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Carpenter officiating. A graveside service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at Mt. Comford Cemetery in Alexandria, Virginia, 6600 S Kings Hwy Alexandria, Va 22306. |
