NASHVILLE - Charles Steven Kirkland, age 76, passed away November 4, 2024. Born in Edgecombe County, he was the son of the late Roscoe Steven Kirkland and Gladys A. Kirkland.

Steve is survived by his wife of 53 years, Deborah; son, C. David Kirkland (Rebecca) of Nashville and one grandchiild; sister Judith "Jill" Kirkland of Rocky Mount; brother Terry Kirkland (Panis) of Tarboro; and cousins.

A private family burial will be held at Bethany Church of Christ in Whitakers . A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on November 16, at the Rocky Mount Christian Church on 910 Beechwood Drive in Rocky Mount.
