Bobby Gardner Smith, 84, passed away Friday, November 1, 2024. He was born June 6, 1940 in Halifax County to the late Herman and Mae Bell Gardner Smith. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Shelia Milan.

He is survived by his wife Betty Smith; daughters, Lynn Hagwood (Bill), Angela Winstead (Clarence), Sharon Owenby (Chris), and Sandy Rose; two sons, Bryan Rose (Shelia) and Dennis Rose (Cathy); special friend, Carleen Goodwin; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, November 6, 2024 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Tony Russ officiating at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
