JoLynn Rackley Tyson passed away July 30, 2024. She was born September 3, 1958 to the late Jesse W. Rackley, Sr. and JoAnn Wood Rackley. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Jeff Rackley.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry Benjamin Tyson of the home; son David and wife Sarah of Nashville; daughter, Jennifer of Rocky Mount; one grandchild; and brother, Jesse W. Rackley Jr. of Rocky Mount.

A graveside service was held August 5 at Forest Hill Cemetery with Pastor Tim Smith officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
