GEORGE J. HODGES

ROCKY MOUNT - George J. Hodges, age 66, passed away on Friday, February 16, 2024. Born in Nash County on September 8, 1957, he was the son of the late Carlton Edward Hodges and Beulah Sherrod Hodges. He was also preceded in death by his brother Larry C. Hodges.

George is survived by his wife of 48 years, Linda Pike Hodges; his daughter, Michelle Hodges Severini (Anthony); his son, George J. Hodges, Jr. (Vicky); 7 grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at 11 a.m., at Rocky Mount Memorial Park Chapel on the Hill Mausoleum. Entombment will follow the service.

The family will receive friends and relatives on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in George's memory to West Edgecombe Baptist Church, 13821 NC Hwy. 43, North, Rocky Mount, NC 27801.
