ELIJAH AMOS WILLIAMS, JR.

ROCKY MOUNT - Elijah Amos Williams, Jr., age 80, passed away on Monday, November 27, 2023. Born in Edgecombe County on April 1, 1943, he was the son of the late Elijah Amos Williams and Annie Mae Kennedy Williams. He was also preceded in death by his daughters, Debbie Wood, Wanda Hall, Joyce Marie Williams, Cindy Williams, and brothers Harvey Lee Williams, and Johnny Williams.

Junior is survived by his wife of 9 years, Brenda Williams; his daughter Cathy Howard, and husband Evan, of Rocky Mount; his sons, James Sharpe, of Rocky Mount, John Lucas, of Rocky Mount, Perry Lucas, of Raleigh, and William Amos Lucas and wife Cynthia of Nashville; three grandchildren; two great grandchildren; sisters Peggy Leonard and husband Jerry of Nashville, Edna Page and husband Sherwood of Grifton; brothers Bobby Williams and wife Jenny of Goldsboro; Thomas Williams of Rocky Mount; William Alton Williams and wife Pam of Rocky Mount; Bennett Williams of Sharpsburg, many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services will be private.
