MIDDLESEX - Joyce Palk Hooks, 71 passed away on Thursday, September 14. Funeral services were held September 16 at at Joyner's Funeral Home, Wilson. Interment followed at the Eatmon Family Cemetery, Old Smithfield Road, Bailey. Reverend Brian Wible and Revered Reuben Batchelor officiated.

Joyce is survived by her sons, Edward Eatmon, Lee Eatmon and wife, Nikki, and David Eatmon; brother, Robert Palk; sister, Cheryl Rex; 9 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, Vestle Edward Palk and Wilma Jaquess Ward; and sister, Teresa Paige.
