ROCKY MOUNT - Dr. Charles Cecil Johnson, age 83, passed away on Thursday, August 24, 2023. Born in Johnston County on April 3, 1940, he was the son of the late Odell Chester Johnson and Bessie Leora Woodard Johnson.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Judith Gail Eason Johnson; his daughters, Shelley Lynn Johnson Wyatt and husband, Jamison, of Stem and Lea Anne Johnson Shearin of Greenville; two grandchildren:two great-grandchildren; his brother, Bobby Johnson of Norfolk, VA; and two nephews.
A funeral service was held August 29, 2023, at Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Rev. Harry Fowler officiating. A private burial followed the service at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. |
