ELM CITY - Wendy Colbert Braswell, age 51, passed away June 15, 2023. She was born in Nash County on August 31, 1971. She was preceded in death by her father, Danny Hugh Colbert, Sr.; paternal grandparents, Joe Thomas and Gevie Colbert and maternal grandparents, Herman and Ruby Gurganus Padgett.
She is survived by her daughter, Autumn Brooke Bryant of Elm City; mother, Betty Gurganus Jones (Charles) of Rocky Mount; brothers, Danny Hugh Colbert, Jr. (Donna) and Joseph Scott Colbert, all of Rocky Mount; sisters, Shelly Melissa Colbert (Cliff Webb) of Rocky Mount and Tracy Winstead of Nashville; three nieces; one nephew; one great-niece.
A service will be held Thursday, June 22, 2023 at 6 p.m. at Sunset Church of God, 1709 Anaconda Road, Tarboro. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. |
