Edith "Elizabeth" Brake Landin, 94, passed away Monday, June 5, 2023. She was born August 16, 1928 in Edgecombe County to the late Willie and Mary Jane Hill Brake. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, John Sidney Landin; son, John Sidney Landin, Jr.; sisters, Lillie Mae Collie, Mary Lee Strickland, and Tibby Williams; brothers, John and Bill Brake; several nephews.
She is survived by her son, David Bruce Landin, Sr. and wife Cheryl Ann; brother, Percy Willard Brake; one grandchild,; several nieces and nephews.
A visitation with family and friends will be Monday, June 12, 2023 from 1:00-1:45 p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral Home with a funeral service to be held at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Cornerstone Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. |
