ROCKY MOUNT - Jackson Berry Harris, "Jack", age 88, passed away on Monday, March 20, 2023. Born in Beaufort County on November 1, 1934, he was the son of the late George Edward Harris and Argie Dell Smithwick Harris.
Jack is survived by his wife of 65 years, Shelvie Creech Harris; his daughters, Terry Freeman and husband, Brad, and Sherry Adams and husband, Tye; his son, Jay Harris and wife, Tara; five grandchildren, ; and extended family.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, March 24, 2023, at 2 p.m. at Cuthrell-Dixon Cemetery, Old Sandhill Road, Aurora, NC 27806 with Rev. Bill Grisham officiating. The family will receive friends and relatives on Thursday, March 23, 2023, from 7-9 p.m. at Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home.
