SHELBY FAYE MCCLENNY

ROCKY MOUNT - Shelby Faye McClenny Stevens, 78, passed away on Thursday, March 9, 2023. Born in Halifax County on January 5, 1945, she was the daughter of the late William James McClenny and Lillie Mae Nines McClenny Wallace. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Dwight W. Stevens; her sister, Ann Riley; and her stepfather, Ted Wallace.

Shelby is survived by her daughters, Rhonda Wallace, Tammy Barrile (Bryan), Michelle Grissom (Cory), and Velvet "Dawn" Bradshaw; her son, Michael Stevens; 13 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren; and her sisters, Edna McClenny (Roger) and Betty Hux (Hillery).

A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 17, 2023, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Pastor Randy Nines officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 1 to 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the fuenral home. Burial to follow the service at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
