BATTLEBORO - Gene Cockrell passed away on March 6, 2023, at the age of 85. Gene was born on June 16, 1937, to his parents, Spencer and Wahlena Cockrell.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Jean Cockrell of Battleboro; his daughter, Tina Mayo and husband, Charlie; his son, Darwin Cockrell and wife, Brooke, all of Battleboro; four grandchildren; siblings, Dot Farmer, Spencer Cockrell Jr., Donna Matthews, and Rick Cockrell.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2023, at 3 p.m. in the Chapel of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Rev. Joe Price officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 2:00 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. prior to the service in the Atrium of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home and at other times at the home. |
