ROCKY MOUNT - Robert "Bobby" Bottoms, age 73, passed away on Friday, February 10, 2023. Born in Edgecombe County on May 27, 1949, he was the son of the late Burnice Bottoms and Polly Williams Bottoms. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Karen Brantley; his step-daughter, Kaye Pavelka; and his sister, Katie Taylor.

Bobby is survived by his wife of 48 years, Vivian Weaver Bottoms; his daughter, Robin Threatt and husband, Danny; his step-daughters, Faye Webb and Candy Ottarski and husband, Tony; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; his brothers, George Bottoms and Rodger Bottoms; and his sisters, Janice Holder, Brenda Mott and husband, David, and Wanda Carpenter.

A graveside service to celebrate Bobby's life was held on Wednesday, February 15, 2023, at Pineview Cemetery. Visitation with the family was from 12 p.m to 1 p.m. prior to the service at Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home.
