ELM CITY - Robert "Rob" Selby Benson, age 67, passed away on Friday, February 3, 2023. Born in Wilson County on December 19, 1955, he was the son of Rochelle Baker and the late Bobby Benson. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Wanda Daniels Benson.
Rob is survived by his daughters, Caroline Benson (Jameson Murphrey), of Wilmington, Rachel Whaley (Dennis), of Greenville, and Rebecca Benson (Alan Hopkins), of Rocky Mount; five grandchildren; his sister, Tammy Long, of Pinetops; his brother, Marty Benson (Lynn), of Farmville; many nieces and nephews.
A visitation with the family will be held on Friday, February 10, 2023 from 6-8 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Flowers are welcome. |
