ROCKY MOUNT - George Thomas Boulden, Sr., passed away on January 31, 2023. Born in Nash County on January 22, 1941, he was the son of the late George Louis Boulden and Beulah Boulden Price. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Dorothy Jean Wood.

George is survived by his wife of 36 years, Donna Moore Boulden; his daughters, Laura Boulden Jackson and husband, Alex, of Holly Springs, and Amy Boulden Sugg and husband, Greg, of Cary; his son, Tommy Boulden, of Nashville; three grandchildren; his sister, Nancy Aycock, of Louisburg; his sister-in-law, Theresa Moore, of Bailey; along with several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 2, 2023 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Entombment will follow the service in the Chapel on the Hill Mausoleum at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. Visitation with the family will be from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service in the parlor of Johnson Funeral Home.
