MICHAEL JAMES REAVIS

OXFORD- Michael James Reavis, 56, passed away Monday, January 16, 2023. Born October 30, 1966, in Vance County, he was the son of Rev. James "Jimmy" Lewis Reavis, Jr. of Rocky Mount and the late Eddie Jean Wiggins Reavis.

A memorial service will be held at Tabbs Creek Baptist Church on Friday, January 20, 2023 at 12 p.m. by Rev. Wayne Clark and Rev. Robbie Wood.

In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife, Linda Finch Reavis of the home; three sons, Tyler James Reavis (Carly), Joshua Finch Reavis (Kelsey) and Seth Judson Reavis, all of Oxford; two brothers, Mark Reavis and Craig Reavis (Angie), both of Rocky Mount; and two granddaughters.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Lindsey Elizabeth Reavis.

The family will receive friends prior to the service on Friday from 10:30 until 11:45 a.m. in the Tabbs Creek Baptist Church fellowship hall and at other times at the home.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Tabbs Creek Baptist Church, C/O Alice Overton, 6537 Harold O' Brien Road, Oxford, NC 27565.
