Linda Diana Battle Pitt, age 76, passed away on Sunday, January 15, 2023. She was born July 15, 1946 in Nash County to the late James Battle and Hedy Melton Battle.

Survivors include two sons, Melvin L. Pitt, Jr., of Panama City, FL, Terrence Pitt of Florence, SC, two daughters, Angela Pitt Pompey and Pamela Pitt, both of the home, one brother, Ellis G. Jones of Zebulon, NC, eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

Final arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by Hemby- Willoughby Mortuary, Inc., of Tarboro, NC.
