Merle Parker White, 89, passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2022. She was born October 1, 1932 in Bertie County to the late James Lawrence and Mary Lane Parker. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband Clyde Hugh Garris, second husband L.D. Jarvis, and third husband James Wiley White; brothers Donald and Floyd Parker.

She is survived by two sons Larry Keith Garris and John Michael Garris (Deanna); daughters Kimberly Denise Davis (Fred Juran) and Susan Gail Mitchell (Alan); brother Allen Ray Parker; 7 grandchildren.; fifteen great-grandchildren.

A memorial Service will be held Monday, April 18, 2022 at 1p.m. in the Chapel of Cornerstone Funeral Home. Visitation for family and friends will follow.
