Barbara Jean Mitchell, 86, passed away Monday February 21, 2022. She was born November 21, 1935 in Durham County to the late Garland and Ruby Thompson Nichols. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Norman E. Mitchell, Sr.; brothers Billy, Jimmy, and Johnny Nichols, Sr.
She is survived by her son Norman Mitchell, Jr. and wife Debbie; three daughters Kim Cowger and husband Paul, Cindy Pike and husband Bob, and Annette Ross and husband Paul; three sisters Dena Wade ( Reggie), Judy Martin, and Peggy Dillard; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
A funeral servicewas held Thursday, February 24, 2022. Burial and visitation will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery |
