ROCKY MOUNT - Jennings "Lee" Bellamy, age 87, passed away Thursday, February 3, 2022. Born in Edgecombe County on June 11, 1934, he was the son of the late William Jennings Bellamy and Nellie Minton Bellamy. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, William Griffin Bellamy and Marvin James Bellamy.
Lee is survived by his wife of 62 years, Grace Ezzell Bellamy; his two daughters, Carol Bellamy Pridgen and husband, Tim, and Elaine Bellamy Owens and husband, John; 7 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; his sister-in-law, Jennifer Bellamy; 2 nieces; one nephew.
A funeral service was held February 7, 2022. Burial, Rocky Mount Memorial Park. |
