David "Gene" Eugene Bass, 71, passed away Wednesday, February 2, 2022. He was born to the late Edward and Betty Williamson Bass on December 17, 1950 in Nash County. In addition to his parents Gene was preceded in death by a brother Edward T. Bass, Jr.

He is survived by his two sons Chase (Dana) and Courtney Bass (Brittany); one brother Lawrence Bass; four grandchildren.

A graveside inurnment will be held Saturday, February 12, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Forest Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Nashville UMC, 209 E. Washington Street, Nashville NC 27856, in honor of Gene.
