William Herbert Poland, Jr., 62, known as "Herby" to all that knew him, passed away Tuesday, December 14, 2021. He was born July 3, 1959 in Nash County to the late William Sr. and Norma "Grace" Strange Poland. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by sons Bill and Ron Outlaw.

He is survived by his former wife Jeannie Poland; daughters Amanda Poland and Melinda Romero; sister Leigh Cole Poland; nine grandchildren.

Visitation with family and friends will be Friday, December 17, 2021 from 6 - 8 p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Saturday, December 18, 2021 at 1 p.m. in the Chapel of Cornerstone Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
