ROBERT "BOB" DENNIS ALLEN

ROCKY MOUNT - Robert "Bob" Dennis Allen, age 77, passed away on Wednesday, December 2, 2021. Born in Nash County on April 29, 1944, he was the son of the late Robert Baird Allen and Maxine Batts Allen.

Bob is survived by his wife of 38 years, Annette Banks Allen; his children, Robert Scott Allen (Heather) of Morehead City, Michael Lawrence Allen (Nicole) of Red Oak; Kimberley Peebles Sherman (Richard) of Raleigh, and David Harrison Peebles, III (Crystal) of Wilmington; his grandchildren, Josh Falls, Matthew Allen, Cyle O'Neal, Kelsey Allen, Hannah Sherman, Lillie Sherman, Davon Peebles, Grant Peebles, and Selby Peebles; his brothers, Wayne Allen (Judy) of Winterville and W.C. Allen (Debbie) of Rocky Mount; his sister, Linda Allen Gilbert (John) of Rocky Mount; and numerous loving nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at 2 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, Rocky Mount. The Inurnment service will immediately follow the service in the First United Methodist Church Columbarium. The family will receive friends and relatives on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 from 5 - 7 p.m. at Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Bob's memory to First United Methodist Church Capital Fund, 100 South Church Street, Rocky Mount, NC 27804.
