JOHN WHITAKER
NASHVILLE - John Whitaker, Jr. 76, passed away Thursday, October 23, 2008 at Nash General Hospital in Rocky Mount. Funeral services were held Tuesday, October 28 at 1 p.m. at Union Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Wayne Leonard officiating.

He is survived by his wife, Roberta L. Whitaker, of the home; two daughters, Josephine Bullock of the home and Tara Smith of Fayetteville; one son, Henry Earl Coley of Clinton, MD; three sisters, Hortense Leonard, Lorene Allen and Peggy Williams, all of Nashville; and one brother Alexander Whitaker of Nashville.

Wake services were held at Richardson Funeral Home Chapel in Nashville on Monday, October 27 from 7 - 8 p.m.

Services were provided by Richardson Funeral Home, Nashville.
