Rachel Anne Melvin, 57, passed away Thursday, September 2, 2021. She was born November 5, 1963 in Nash County. She was preceded in death by her father Alfred W. Joyner.

She is survived by her mother Rachel Matthews Joyner; son Matthew Melvin and wife Alicia; expecting grandson; brother Al Joyner; uncle Pete Joyner, and many cousins.

A graveside service will be held Sunday, September 5, 2021 at 3:30 p.m. at Matthew's Family Cemetery 6268 Racetrack Road, Castalia.
