Sue Deans Sykes, 90, passed away Monday, July 12, 2021. She was born February 18, 1931 to the late Earl and Annie Fulghum Deans. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband J.G. Sykes and son Jerry G. Sykes.

She is survived by her daughters Gloria Anderson (Wayne) and Janet Cooke (Clint); brothers Donald Deans (Anita) and Brooks Deans (Peggy); sisters Helen Woodall and Betty Lamm; four grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren.

A visitation with family and friends will be Thursday, July 15, 2021 from 10-10:45 a.m. with funeral service at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Cornerstone Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials in Sue's name may be made to Bethlehem Presbyterian Church 1460 Bethlehem Rd, Rocky Mount, NC 27803 or Vidant Health Hospice 920 Wellness Drive, Greenville NC 27834.
