Linda Watson Summerlin, 69, of Elm City, died Saturday, June 5, 2021.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, June 8, 11 a.m. at Cedar Grove Cemetery. Considering the weather, the family will immediately return to her home where all are welcome for a visit.

She is survived by her sisters, Carol Hathaway Upchurch (Edward) of Elm City, Patricia Hathaway Jones of Wilson, Frankie Watson Sweatt (Eddie) of Fayetteville and Helen Hathaway Reusch (Glenn) of Rochelle, VA; brothers, Charles Ingram (Carolyn) of Kenansville, Julian "Fuzz" Watson of Mathews, VA, Dennis Watson of Williamsburg, VA and James "Tony" Watson (Lydia) of Williamsburg, VA.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Lee Summerlin in 2000; son, Daniel Lee Summerlin in 2007; parents, Johnny and Thelma Whitman Watson; sister, Shirley Casey-Warren; brothers, Johnnie "Sonny" Watson; infants, Timmie and Jimmie Watson.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Pl, Memphis, TN 38105, or to ASCPA, PO Box 96929, Washington, DC 20090.
