ROCKY MOUNT - Phillip Arden Pullen, age 95, passed away on Wednesday, May 26, 2021. Born in Mannings Township, Nash County on March 3, 1926, he was the son of the late Robert Pullen and Emily Parrish Pullen. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Julia Cooke Pullen, his brother, Charlie Pullen and sister, Betty Jean Rose, son-in-law, George Hughes, and his grandson, James Christopher Henriksen.

Phillip is survived by his daughters, Judy Hughes of Shallotte and Sandra Otwell (Ron) of Greensboro; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren and his brother, Lucius Pullen.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Rocky Mount. Burial will follow the service at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. The family will receive friends and relatives on Friday, June 4, 2021 from 5 - 7 p.m. at Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home.
