ROCKY MOUNT - Darry Allen Winstead, Sr., age 60, passed away on Friday, January 22, 2021. Born in Nash County on October 28, 1960, he is the son of the late Ruby Leonard Smith. He was also preceded in death by his son, Darry Allen Winstead, Jr.

He is survived by his daughters, April Henson and her husband, Steve, Jr., of Rocky Mount and Heather Winstead of Texas; his son, Daniel Winstead of Rocky Mount; four grandchildren; his father, James Edward Winstead and his wife, Teresa, of Rocky Mount; his siblings, Ronald Winstead and his wife, Cheryl, of VA, Joel Winstead and his wife, Lorrie, Dawn Winstead, Raven Winstead, Blake Winstead and his wife, Karen, Nathan Winstead and his wife, Soledad, Haylee Winstead all of Rocky Mount; numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Darry's memory to the Winstead Family.
