Gladys Marie Matthews, 68, passed away Tuesday, January 5, 2021. She was born January 3, 1953 in Nash County to the late Elbert Radford and Nellie Connie.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Butch Radford, and daughter, Emily Kay Short.
She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Mark Matthews; daughter, Candace Creech (Ward); son, Joshua Luke Matthews; sisters, Jenny King (Nelson) and Sheron Clark (Tim); four grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at Cornerstone Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, January 10, 2021 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Cornerstone Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. |
