Charles Thomas Coggin, 89, passed away Saturday, October 24, 2020. He was born in Halifax County January 14, 1931 to the late S.H. and Florine Pace Coggin. In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by daughter, Yvonne Marie Coggin and brothers Oscar, William and Jimmy.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Patricia; son, Thomas Edward Coggin (Elizabeth); daughters Patricia Majora Scharfschwerdt (Frederick), Barbara Jean Forys (Stephen); 10 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; brother, Rowland Coggin and a sister, Lois Thomason.
The family will receive friends at Cornerstone Funeral Home Monday, October 26, 2020 from 6-8 p.m.. Burial will be held at St. John of God Cemetery, Central Islip, NY.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital. |
