| ROCKY MOUNT - J. Ray Thomas, Jr., 47, died Monday, September 1, 2008. Mr. Thomas was born in Nash County. He is survived by his wife of twelve years, Melissa Miller Thomas. Ray was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Susie Thomas and brother, Robert Mitchell Thomas.
A cremation service for his wife and her immediate family was held Friday, September 4, 2008 in Irvington, Va. at the home of Mrs. Thomas’ sister, Ms. Michelle M. Lybarger.
