WILLARD HERMAN COPPEDGE
ROCKY MOUNT - Willard Herman Coppedge, 86, passed away on September 8, 2008 at his home in Rocky Mount. He was born March 3, 1922 in Nash County to the late Joseph and Annie Lou Braswell Coppedge. He is preceded in death by three sisters, Pearl Bowden, Martha Wester and Onea Aycock; and one brother, Harvey Coppedge.

He is survived by his wife, Marie Coppedge of the home; one son, Michie Van Coppedge and wife Cheryl of Rocky Mount; daughter, Gwynn Coppedge Spahn and husband Gary of Lake Forest, IL; five grandchildren, two great grandchildren, other survivors, Dalton Coppedge and wife Clara of Rocky Mount; sister-in-law, Elsie Coppedge; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family received friends and family Tuesday, September 9, 2008 from 7 to 8:30 pm at Johnson Funerals and Cremations on English Road. A funeral service was held 11 am Wednesday, September 10, 2008 in the Chapel at Johnson Funerals and Cremations. Burial immediately followed at Pineview Cemetery.
