Vivian "Kay" (Hood) Wethington, 78, passed away Wednesday, October 14, 2020. She was born December 2, 1941 in Gaston County to the late Elmer and Winona Champion Best. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by first husband Ralph Hood, father to her children; brother Eddie Best.

She is survivied by her husband Roy Wethington; son Jimmy Hood; daughters Angie Flowers (Randy), and Christi Benton (Jim); step-sons Mark and Eric Wethington (Doretha); brother Wayne Best (Faye); 7 grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.

Visitation with family and friends will be Sunday, October 18, 2020 from 5:30-6:45 p.m. with funeral service to be held 7 p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral Home. Graveside service will be Monday, October 19, 2020 2 p.m. at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
