ROCKY MOUNT - John Alvin Watson, age 71, passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2020. Born in Nash County on April 4, 1949, he was the son of the late John Robert Watson and Estelle Daughtridge Watson. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, James Robert Watson, Thomas Arnold Watson, Donald Ray Watson; and his sisters, Patricia Watson Proctor, and Carolyn Watson Terrell.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Lois Dail Watson; his daughter, Stacy Watson (Josh Edwards) of Raleigh; his sister, Nellie Watson Vernon; and many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at 3 p.m. at Rocky Mount Memorial Park Chapel on the Hill Mausoleum. Visitation with the family will be from 2 - 2:45 p.m. prior to the service in the Mausoleum. |
