CLAUDIA W. CRUSENBERRY

ROCKY MOUNT - Claudia W. Crusenberry, age 81, passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2020. Born in Nash County on June 13, 1939, she was the daughter of the late W. Otis Whitley and Hilda Chamblee Whitley. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Alton "Sonny" Crusenberry, Sr.; her brothers, Jack Whitley, Cecil Whitley, and Billy Whitley; and her sisters, Dixie Bass and Sarah Britt.

She is survived by her sons, James Alton Crusenberry, Jr. and wife, Katherine, of Nash County and Michael C. Crusenberry of Raleigh; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 7, 2020 at 10 a.m. at Rocky Mount Memorial Park with Dr. Jacky Raper officiating. A visitation with the family will follow the service at the graveside.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Freewill Baptist Church, PO Box 483, Rocky Mount, NC 27803.
