SPRING HOPE - James C. Sanders, affectionately known as "Possum" age 73, passed away Tuesday, May 12, 2020.

Private graveside services will be held on Sunday, May, 17, 2020 at 1 p.m. at Middlesex Memorial Gardens, Middlesex. A viewing will be held from 4-6 on Saturday at William Toney's Funeral Home in Spring Hope.

He is survived by six children, James Sanders, Jr., of Bailey, Judy Lucas of Raleigh, Tonya Sanders of Pikeville, James Sessoms (Elvira) of Stanhope, Alisa Wiggins of Louisburg, Lyndrae Brodie of Spring Hope; his seven siblings, Paul Sanders, Edward Sanders, Michael Sanders and Ernestine Smith of Spring Hope, Mable Wiggins of Middlesex, Lucreasy Jones of Jefferson City, Missouri, Linda Graham (Greg) of Knightdale; a special friend, Diane Cooper of Spring Hope; 9 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends
