Shelia Ernestine Hunt Gibson, 86, passed away Thursday, March 5, 2020. She was born December 25, 1933 in Halifax County to the late Eugene and Elizabeth Lindsey Hunt. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by grandchild Ryan Keith Gibson; brothers Harvey, Taylor, Bobby, Edward, and Ronald T. Hunt; sisters Beatrice Olverding, Alice Smith, Jackie Walker, Frances Hunt, Helen Chalker, and Thelma Hunt.

She is survived by her two sons Thomas Keith Gibson, and Jeff Gibson (Bern); daughter Sharon Mitchell (Stewart), brothers Franklin D. Hunt (Bee Bee) and, David Hunt; sister Linda McNeely (Glen); four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.

A memorial service was held Saturday, March 7, 2020 in the Chapel of Cornerstone Funeral Home with Rev. Lavon Phillips officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to Bailey Church of God Building Fund, 5918 Stott Street, Bailey NC 27807.
