JOHN HENRY STONE
Rocky Mount - John Stone passed away August 4, 2008 at North Carolina State Veterans Home in Salisburg, NC. He was born June 28, 1920 in Edgecombe County. He was the son of Cleveland T. Stone, Sr. and Betty Warf Stone. He was preceded in death by his wife Elevelyn O. Stone and three brothers, Jack T. Stone, Cleveland T. Stone, Jr. and Albert Andrews Stone.

Left to cherish his memory is his sister Francis Stone Boone and several nephews, Charles Boone, Jack T. Stone, Jr., Tony Stone, Bucky Stone; nieces, Judy Stone, Faye Stone and Beth Ingle and several more nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, August 6, 2008, at Johnson Funerals and Cremations on Sunset Avenue. A graveside service was held at 11 am Thursday, August 7, 2008 at Pineview Cemetery with Marvin Stallings officiating.
