Ollie Mae Joyner Poland

ELM CITY - Ollie Mae Joyner Poland, age 91, passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2019. Born in Wilson County on November 15, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Minnie Joyner. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Daniel Poland; three sisters, Marie Weaver (Cliff), Dorothy Winstead (Darcey) and Beulah Pridgen (Delano); and two brothers, Earl Joyner (Audrey) and Harvey Joyner (Joyce).

She is survived by her son, James Elvin Poland and wife, Paula; three grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Monday, November 25, 2019 from 10-11 a.m. at Johnson Funeral Home with the funeral service following at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Johnson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Wilson.
