Madie Whitehead Farmer

Madie Whitehead Farmer, 88, passed away Monday, March 18, 2019. She was born in Edgecombe County, September 30, 1930 to the late William F. and Nettie Bottoms Whitehead. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ardell Farmer and a son Jeffrey L. Bottoms.

She is survived by son, Gary Hood; daughters Joanne Lewis (Jimmy), Debra Roos (Tim), Sharon Hood; seven grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.

A graveside service was held Friday, March 22, 2019 at 2 p.m. at Cedar Grove Cemetery, Elm City with Rev. Allen Mills Officiating.

Flowers are accepted or memorial donations may be made to Gospel Missionary Baptist Church, PO Box 455, Sharpsburg, NC 27878.
