Phyllis "Dale" Griffin Strum, 65, passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2019. She was born February 7, 1954 in Nash County to the late J.E. Griffin and Inez Jefferies Langley. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by son Tony Carpenter; nephew Blake Denton and brother-in-law Danny Denton.

She is survived by her husband Earl Strum; two sons Stephen Ward and Jonathan Strum; one daughter Tonya Strum Baker and husband Alan; one sister Beverly Denton; and seven grandchildren.

Services were held Saturday, March 16, 2019 at Cornerstone Funeral Home with Rev. Daniel Moss officiating.
