Nashville man nabbed for robberies
SPIVEY

A Nashville man was charged with robbing the Sandy Cross L&L Convenience Store twice over four month period.

The first armed robbery happened on October 30. Sergeant Walker and K-9 Dako, of the Nash County Sheriff's Office, conducted a canine track from the L&L, located at 5862 NC Highway 58, Nashville, and tracked the suspect to Batchelor Road. The canine track ended on Batchelor Road with no further lead.

Deputies responded to the second armed robbery on February 14. Evidence revealed the same suspect had committed the prior robbery.

In both robberies, currency was removed and one was injured.

Through continued investigations, the Criminal Investigations Division was able to positively identify Steven Rajaeh Spivey, 24, of 2837 Batchelor Road, Nashville, as the suspect in the February 14 robbery.

Detectives were able to locate Spivey at a residence in Greenville and he was taken into custody by Greenville Police without incident.

Spivey was transported back to the Nash County Sheriff's Office, where he confessed to committing both robberies.

Spivey was placed in the Nash County Detention Center under a $200,000 secured bond.
