Walter Robert James, 93, passed away Monday, October 1, 2018. He was born October 1, 1925 in Winston Salem to the late George Robert and Eda Flinchum James. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Bonita Lowe James; two sisters, Juanita Clayton and Mary Frances Cain.

He is survived by one son, Gary James and wife Joan; one step-grandson; two nephews; one niece.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, October 4, 2018, 2 p.m. at Forest Lawn Cemetery of Greensboro with Evan Rose officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The American Heart Association.
